The board is in charge of everything related to US. Planning practices and games, coming up with fun events, managing the budget, and setting out the long term vision for US, the board is responsible for all of it. Each board member has a specific set of responsibilities, and they will tell you more about that below.
However, we couldn't do any of it without our amazing commissions and volunteers, and our members of course!

Stijn van Ingen - Voorzitter / President
Hey everyone,
My name is Stijn, and I'll be your president this year :)
This will be my third year at US, and in the past two years I've really grown to love this club. Before joining US, I played in Veldhoven and Eindhoven for most of my youth, and during my studies I was a member of MSHV Manos, the student club or Maastricht, where I was also in the board as a treasurer for a year. So this isn't my first rodeo as a board member.
As president, I am responsible for overseeing the operations of the board, but also US Handbal as a whole. That basically means that everything is my concern, and I try to be involved with and up to date about everything that is happening as much as possible. I am also the representative of the club to US Omni (the overarching association that also includes basketball, volleyball, badminton, and tabletennis), SSA (Student Sport Amsterdam, which includes all student clubs in Amsterdam), and basically everywhere else the club is represented. I am the main contact for the sponsorship committee (SpoCo) but I am in contact with pretty much all committees.

Nico Tzinies - Vice-voorzitter / Vice-president
Hi everyone,
My name is Nico, and I’ve been playing handball at US for the past three seasons. Over those years, the club has become a fun part of my life, so I’m very happy to now also contribute in a different way as vice-president within the board. In this role, I’m responsible for everything related to referees and timetable duties. So if you’re interested in becoming a referee, or if you have any questions about the timetable duty/referee topic, feel free to reach out to me. I’m always happy to help!
Julie Kreleger- Secretaris / Secretary
Hiii everyone,
My name is Julie, and I'm the new secretary of the board. I have been a member of US for 1 year and I am really excited to be part of the new board! Besides the obvious job of taking notes at meetings, I am also responsible for organising the ALV, the membership registration and our adherence to the AVG/GDPR. As some of you might know, I also love to be creative, so I will also be involved with the communication committee (ComCom) this year.
I was looking forward to spending the summer with my parents in France, but unfortunately our area got hit heavily by the forest fires, so most of my time is spent dealing with that right now, and I won't be online much the next few weeks. From September onwards you can reach out to me about things like the ALV/GMA, membership registration, the AVG/GDPR, or any other topic. But in the meantime, please reach out to one of the other board members.
Amber Molenaar - Penningmeester / Treasurer
Hiii everyone,
I’m Amber, 28 years old. As you (hopefully) know, I’ve been in the board already for over a year as treasurer. I’ve been at US for eight years now and am currently playing in Ladies 1! As treasurer I make the budget and financial results of the season, pay incoming invoices, charge you your contribution, support SpoCo with sponsoring deals and Friends of US, and more financial related stuff. So if you have any questions about contribution, other financial related topics or you (or your friends/family/company) want to sponsor US, feel free to reach out to me. Arthur Beauvillain - Wedstrijdsecretaris / Match secretary

Hi everyone! I'm Arthur, the match secretary at US Handbal. I'm responsible for scheduling all home matches for our ten teams (D1 through D5 and H1 through H5). That includes building the match schedule according to NHV guidelines, requesting hall space from the municipality, and resolving any scheduling conflicts that come up along the way.

Cristi Garnet - Voorzitter Technische Commissie / Head of TC
Heyooo! I’m Cristian Garnet (29) commonly known as Cristi. I’m originally from Brașov, a town in Romania not too far from Dracula’s Castle. I wanted to give something back to the club, so I took on the role of the Head of TC. In this role, I coordinate our trainers and coaches, organise training schedules, and handle communication around special training activities such as position-specific training sessions and mixed tournaments.
If you have any questions about training schedules, or if you have suggestions or ideas on how we can improve things, don’t hesitate to reach out to me! I will also act as mediator between trainers and players so if there's any dispute that needs mediation please feel free to to reach out!
Marinde van Dijk - Voorzitter Sociale Commissie / Events coordinator
Hi my name is Marinde I am 24 years old, and I currently play in Ladies 1. Besides handball I started dancing salsa, and you can often find me at parties, which naturally led me to my role in the board where I'm responsible for the events of U.S.
Together with the party committee, I have organised events such as the Walking Dinner, the All Friends Tournament, and the Valentine’s and Halloween parties. Many more events will follow in the future!
